The first official teaser trailer for Tron Legacy has arrived and it is amazing. This has been an incredible week for trailers with the awesome Iron Man 2 trailer, and now this! We have been covering Tron Legacy since last summer when we saw exclusive footage and concept art at the San Diego Comic-Con. Fanboys have eagerly awaited the arrival of this trailer, and I must say, it was definitely worth the wait. For those who may not be old enough to know, Tron Legacy is the sequel to the 1982 sci-fi classic Tron about a hacker who is abducted into a computerized world where he is forced to participate in gladiator style games. The sequel takes place 25 years after the original where Sam Flynn is looking into the disappearance of his father Kevin Flynn. Check out the trailer after the jump!
After the Academy Awards tonight, the second trailer for Iron Man 2 was revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live by guest Robert Downey Jr. The new trailer showcases even more badass action than the first trailer we saw back in December. Director Jon Favreau has another huge blockbuster on his hands as we all eagerly await its arrival on May 7th. The new trailer features even more of what we want to see! More of Tony Stark in the Iron Man suit. A great scene between Mickey Rourke’s Whiplash and Sam Rockwell’s Justin Hammer – and even more! This trailer is freakin’ awesome. Go watch it now!
A second trailer has hit the net for Karate Kid, the remake starring Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith. While many people may hate the idea of a remake to the original movie The Karate Kid, this definitley has a new spin on the old story. I like how the setting is in China and the martial arts actually appear authentic. While this film may be geared more towards kids, I think it looks like a fun family film that should be a summer hit. Check out the trailer after the jump and leave your comments below.
Even though I have not read any of the comics, I am absolutely excited for Kick-Ass. Not only does it look like it will deliver on both a comedic and action front, but the originality of the story is something lost on movies recently. This new trailer looks like it combines footage from the first two trailers released, but fills in some more action scenes and dialogue. Mark Strong, who plays the villainous Frank D’Amico, is one of my favorite actors and looks like he will play a good bad guy. Check out the new international trailer below.
The Losers is a new action film based on a Vertigo/DC comic book by the same name. The movie looks to be filled with tons of action, comedy, and lots of explosions. The Losers is about a team of black-op CIA members who are left for dead after an assassination attempt gone bad. The team sticks together to flush out those responsible for trying to kill them. The movie reminds me of the trailer we recently watched for the remake of The A-Team, which has a similar premise. The Losers stars Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Zoe Saldana, Jason Patric, Idris Elba and Chris Evans and hits theaters April 9th 2010. Check out the trailer after the break.
The first trailer for The A-Team has arrived online, and it looks very good. Starring Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, and Sharlto Copley, the movie is an adaptation of the TV show about a group of wrongfully convicted soldiers working as mercenaries while learning the truth behind their framing. The movie looks to get the spirit of the show and highlight each of the character’s unique traits. I am extremely excited for this feature, so keep an eye for more footage and news before June 11, 2010 when it hits theaters.
A new promo trailer for the eighth season of 24 has debuted. The new season begins January 17th on Fox and picks up with Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) in New York City where the United States government needs his help to prevent an assassination attempt at the United Nations. Of course, only Jack can prevent this from happening and as always he is thrust back into action to save yet another day. This promotional trailer for the eighth season has me really excited to see my favorite hero back in action. You may wonder why Jack always returns for more, and this is explained in the trailer when he is told: “Because you always do the right thing.” This is a badass trailer and the addition of Jay-Z’s song “Run This Town” makes it even more exciting. Check this out after the jump and be sure to tune in on January 17th for the eighth season premiere!
A second teaser trailer for director Christopher Nolan’s follow up to The Dark Knight has hit the net via Apple. Inception stars Leonard DiCaprio in a “contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.” This highly anticipated film hits theaters next summer in both regular formats and IMAX. I am intrigued by this teaser trailer and can’t wait to see more. Christopher Nolan is a brilliant director and with this all star cast, mysterious concept, and IMAX release, summer 2010 should be awesome! Check out the teaser after the jump.
Often refereed to as a “comic book genius”, scribe Grant Morrison will be getting his very own biopic to debut in July 2010 at San Diego Comic-Con titled Grant Morrison: Talking With Gods. Those who are fans have been waiting for something like this for quite some time, while others want to know if the rumors are true. Tales of crazy nights and lavish stories of narcotic induced inspiration. I have been somewhat disenchanted with Morrison over the last few years. Nevertheless, you can’t argue that the man has done some of the most amazing stories in comics over his carrier.

Last night Fox aired a new TV spot for Avatar which premiered new footage. Shown during a commercial break for Glee, the Avatar TV spot is similar to the trailer which we have seen, however keep watching and you will see some new footage! If you weren’t sold on how amazing Avatar is going to be than you need to watch this clip. James Cameron has created a visually stunning piece of work and that is evident from a 3 minute trailer! Perseus has a long road ahead of him if he’s going to save Princess Andromeda. At least, that’s the impression the first trailer for Clash of the Titans is giving. Starring Sam Worthington and a slew of great actors including Liam Neeson and Ralph Fiennes, the remake of the 1981 film of the same name is shaping up to look like the action event of next spring. Take a look at the trailer below.
The first trailer for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time has made its way online. As much as America loves to watch the high and mighty fall, they love comebacks more. When Mickey Rourke was up for an Oscar for his role in The Wrestler, lots of people were hoping he’d win. Regardless, it might take one big public screw up to damage a star’s career for life, but one role can bring it right back. Mel Gibson may just get that comeback with his new action thriller Edge of Darkness. Watch the trailer below.
Sunday evening a new trailer for The Twilight Saga: New Moon debuted. This full length trailer features more than just Taylor Lautner with his shirt off and Robert Pattinson looking creepy. We get our first look at the Volturi in Italy and what looks to be an intense fight scene between them and Edward. New Moon hits theaters November 20th. While I wasn’t a fan of the first film I will admit this doesn’t look too bad. Let us know what you think after the jump.
This past July at Comic-Con director Robert Zemeckis treated fans to an extended look at his holiday release of A Christmas Carol. The 3D computer animated movie tells the classic Dicken’s tale of Ebeneezer Scrooge who is visited by three ghosts that take him on a journey that will change his outlook on life. This weekend the first official trailer for the Jim Carrey led movie debuted online via Yahoo Movies. Similar to The Polar Express and Beowulf, Zemeckis has made a third film with the same 3D computer technology that captures the look of the actors on screen. I am not sure how sold I am on the technology. I would have liked to see a live action version with Jim Carrey but visually this looks amazing. Check out the trailer after the jump.
I remember watching The Boondock Saints my senior year in high school, and thought the original storyline, awesome shootout scenes, and funny banter made it one of my favorite action movies. Now, 4 years later, fans of the cult smash are getting the much discussed sequel from writer/director Troy Duffy. Excluding Willem Dafoe, all the original cast has returned, including the brothers’ murdered friend Rocco portrayed by David Della Rocco. Check out the first look at the movie after the jump.
If you could not get enough cave diving terror from the first film, The Descent: Part 2 looks to capitalize on the strong critical success the first installment enjoyed. I thought it was a very well done film with a good emphasis on story and character, as well as good scares. The follow-up teaser hints at some plot details, including Sarah (the sole survivor from the first film) returning to the cave. While I like movies that scare me without the jumpy movie techniques, everyone loves a good scary flick too. Check out the teaser below.
Today, Yahoo! debuted the theatrical trailer for Universal’s upcoming franchise reboot of The Wolf Man. Some may remember the film was set to release this past February, then April, then November, but now is slatted to open February 12, 2010. So just to be safe, wait to buy your tickets until the night before. Usually, movies that bounce around and have re-shoots typically means there was hesitation on behalf of the studio but it looks like the changes made to the film pertained to CG work. Watch the trailer after the jump.
