This summer director M. Night Shyamalan will bring audiences his latest feature film titled The Last Airbender. Typically Shyamalan writes and directs his films which are based on original pieces of work. This time around, The Sixth Sense director is adapting a live-action adaptation of the television series Avatar: The Last Airbender. Yes, it is another movie with the name Avatar in the title…sort of. For obvious reasons, Shyamalan changed the title to The Last Airbender so fans wouldn’t get his movie confused with that other Avatar movie. The Last Airbender hits theaters July 2nd 2010. You can click here to watch a short teaser trailer and hit the jump to see these new posters.

With just under two months until the next Twilight movie hits theaters fans can enjoy this new set of banners courtesy of Yahoo. The three banners feature multiple characters from the cast of Twilight: New Moon. The banners are divided between the vampires, the wolf pack, and the Volturi. The banners are humorous to poke fun at if you’re not a fan of the franchise. But I won’t go there for fear of fangirl retaliation. Seriously. Check out the banners after the jump.
Two completely different movies. Two very different posters. This fall will see the release of yet another Saw film (the sixth film in the popular franchise) as well as a 3D animated holiday tale of A Christmas Carol. The poster for Saw VI is your typical Saw poster which features a victim in an elaborate trap. The poster for A Christmas Carol features Jim Carrey’s Ebeneezer Scrooge flying away. Check out the posters below.
Three new posters have debuted today for Where the Wild Things Are, The Fantastic Mr. Fox, and Sorority Row. Where the Wild Things Are takes the top prize for best poster of them all. Wild Things has an October 16th release date and The Fantastic Mr. Fox will arrive in theaters this November. Check out the full versions of these posters after the jump.
This past weekend we brought you the first photo of Jake Gyllenhaal in the new Disney adventure movie Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Based upon the popular video game, Prince of Persia will be released next May. Today we have the first two posters for the film which are very impressive. I look forward to seeing more from this movie and I hope that it can be a good film despite it originally being a video game. Typically video game adaptations are not too great (Hitman, Max Payne, Final Fantasy) but this movie could potentially break the mold. Check out the posters and tell us what you think.
Director Shane Acker’s new film 9 doesn’t hit theaters until 9/9/09 but the buzz around the net has been really big for this movie. The marketing is great as we received these posters from Focus Features to show you. When 9 (voice of Elijah Wood) first comes to life, he finds himself in a post-apocalyptic world where all humans are gone, and it is only by chance that he discovers a small community of others like him taking refuge from fearsome machines that roam the earth intent on their extinction. This film has a dark undertone and looks really good. Check out the new series of posters for the movie after the jump.
Today we have two new posters to show you and they are as different as night and day. The one thing they do have in common is that both posters are for new movies starring Jim Carry. The first is the international poster for A Christmas Carol which features Carry as Ebeneezer Scrooge in the classic Dicken’s tale. A Christmas Carol is the latest 3D CGI animated movie from Polar Express director Robert Zemeckis. The second poster is for I Love You Phillip Morris which stars Carrey along side Ewan McGregor. Phillip Morris tells the story of Steven Russel (Carrey) who lands in jail after turning to crime, finds out he is gay, and falls in love with his cell mate (McGregor). Check out these full posters after the jump.
This past week a new set of posters for Inglourious Basterds hit the net. These posters look like the international poster which was released a couple weeks ago. Inglourious Basterds is the newest movie from director Quentin Tarantino. The film hits theaters August 21st. Check out this series of posters after the jump.
I didn’t plan on posting any more posters for Harry Potter 6, but these were the best I have seen – so why not? There have been numerous posters for the movie which is titled Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. The posters which we have presented for you have all been pretty similar. Mostly all character posters, but for fans of Harry Potter they are a real treat. Today’s posters also feature the main characters in a four poster series. What sets these apart however, is the dark artistic nature of the one sheets. They are definitely putting a darker spin on this movie, and based upon these new posters, it is quite impressive. Check out the posters after the jump.
This past weekend we debuted the first character poster, in what appears to be a series, for Quentin Tarantino’s Inglourious Basterds. The first poster featured Brad Pitt as Lt. Aldo Raine, and today’s is Eli Roth as Sgt. Donnie Donowitz. Roth, as it clearly states, is one of the Basterds in Tarantino’s new WWII flick due out in August. When I wrote about Brad Pitt’s character poster the other day I commented that they should make this a series and feature the other lead actors. A few days later and here we have Eli Roth’s character poster! These posters are debuting at the Cannes Film Festival next week, so for those who aren’t going to France, here is your chance to see them.
