Every week there are ups and downs, highs and lows. It would be nice to get some direction in a sea of series that can easily over take any fan boy. I cannot say that my taste is better than anyone else, but I can tell you what I like.  I may even tell you what I don’t like.

Check out these books after the jump. The Atom and Hawkman, Green Lantern, Thor, The Walking Dead.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Lively had beaten out Kerri Russel and Jennifer Garner to land the role in the Martin Campbell-directed film. Yesterday we reported a rumor (which turned out to be true) that Justin Timberlake had been given a screen test for the role of Hal Jordan in the upcoming Green Lantern movie. Fanboys went crazy yesterday with the news that Timberlake could be a potential candidate for the role. While the former Nsync member has proved his acting talent with films like Alpha Dog and Black Snake Moan, he is still a long ways from headlining a big budget studio project. According to The Hollywood Reporter, actors Bradley Cooper (The Hangover), Ryan Reynolds (The Proposal) and Timberlake are the three potential front-runners for the role of Hal Jordan aka Green Lantern.

Big casting rumor today, AICN is reporting a souce inside Warner Brothers leaked Justin Timberlake’s name as a new contender for the title role in the upcoming Green Lantern film. Typically studios screen test actors to see how they flow with the script and role, so if this news is true they must really be considering JT. However, these unconfirmed rumors spill out everytime a big role is up, so Justin fans should wait for something more concrete.

Since the birth of the Green Lantern concept in the 1940’s the series has been a comic sci-fi hit. As many series have their ups and downs, GL has been pretty consistent. However, great heroes need great enemies and I cannot fathom why it took so long for the creative minds to make the Sinestro Corps, the corps that wields the yellow ring. But why stop there? In today’s bio we leave will power and fear. Today, we look into rage and what kind of corps that creates. See the rage of the Red Lanterns after the jump.  Read the rest of this entry »

So intern what makes a better opponent than a group whose base function is to spread fear across the universe? Learn about Sinestro, the yellow light, Parallax, and more after the jump. We have been reporting for some time now about the production of a Green Lantern movie. There has been casting news, budget news, shooting location news, release date news, yet the movie still has yet to begin production. To offset these long standing delays, a youtube user by the name of JaronPitts has created this amazing trailer of his interpretation for a Green Lantern movie. The numerous clips from other movies is impressive, and having Serenity star, Nathan Fillion filling in as Hal Jordan seems like a good fit. This is one of the better fan made trailers I have seen in a while. I recommend you check it out and see if you can spot the movie clips he is using for this trailer.
