See this week COW after the jump.
For the week of December 30, 2009 the only comic book released was Blackest Night #6. While I have been an avid BN fan this past year, I just didn’t want to pick that cover by default. I thought that this would be a good time to show you guys some funny comic book covers and images from vintage titles. I’ve seen these images over the years and am sad to say that gold like this is found rarely nowadays. I hope you get a good laugh and enjoy.

We have a, somewhat, morbid cover this week in the COW column. Though, I believe that it’s fitting for the Halloween season. The only thing that would fit better for this month would be if it were a zombie cover, but the month is still young.

My love for Captain America knows no bounds. While we wait for Steve Rogers to return to the Marvel Universe we can count on some Cap coverage from the past in The Marvels Project. This cover is a haunting image and shows us the birth of a legend. See the cover after the jump.
In the Fanboyz Cover of the Week we love to show new and up coming artist in the game. It is equally as nice to show some old school pencil jockeys. A veteran superstar shows up in COW this week. Who you ask? You will have to click to find out.
It has been a while since we have showcased more than one cover in our COW section, but this week I was really impressed by two covers. I wouldn’t even mind doing more than two and with the artistic talent out there that is very possible. Check out these great covers after the jump.
Another Blackest Night related cover back in the COW column. Superman + Superboy + Super Powered Zombies = a great story and even better art work. I like the way that this mini series/ tie in is playing out and it makes for an interesting set up for future stories. Check out the cover after the jump.
Another Deadpool related cover jumps into our COW column this week. Everyones favorite “Merc with a mouth” has a new ongoing series in which he co-stars with the severed head of his zombie counter part. The series offers the classic Deadpool humor times two and also gives us some good zombie gags as well. Check out this great homage cover after the jump.
