I guess we were incorrect when we reported last week that this poster would be the final one sheet for Toy Story 3. Today Empire has released another fun looking poster for the animated film from Disney and Pixar. Hitting theaters (in 3D, of course) this summer, Toy Story 3 reunites the entire gang of toys who have been donated to a day care center after Andy heads off to college. The trailer for this is fantastic and the movie is one of my most anticipated of the summer. Check out the full poster after break.
Sarah Killen follows many of her favorite celebrities on the social media network known as Twitter. It wasn’t until one of them decided to follow her back that her life was turned upside down. Former NBC talk show host Conan O’ Brien has over half a million followers on his Twitter account. But until recently he opted to not follow anyone at all. That was until he decided to follow one person at random. That random stranger was Michigan teenager Sarah Killen who became the one and only person O’Brien follows. In the course of 24 hours, Killen’s own Twitter, which consisted of three followers, exploded with over 150 new followers every minute. After one week of being the only person Conan O’Brien follows, her current amount of Twitter followers is over 20,000 and growing.
There’s something about awesome t-shirts about movies that have a unique way of making me laugh. Some of them are shots at movies, and others are simply paying homage so as to attract the attention of movie geeks. A few of the best websites for finding these things are Bustedtees, Snorgtees, 6dollarshirts, and 80stees. Check out some of my favorite designs below.

Fanboyz.net was launched on February 1st 2009, and over the last year we have written a ton of news, movie reviews, editorials, and more! We began as a forum for us to write about our passion of movies, comics, television, and video games; and since then this site has grown tremendously. We had a blast covering the 2009 San Diego Comic Con, between our entire staff we saw just about every movie from 2009, and we have big plans for 2010. Of course, we would not be anywhere without our fans and faithful readers. You are truly the reason we do this (besides we love what we do) and we look forward to another great year of movies, comics, television, and video games. Thank you for your support. Here is to another great year!
Yahoo Movies has this 22-minute video which is a behind-the-scenes look at Avatar featuring commentary from various cast members. The video is titled “Creating the World of Pandora” and is a detailed look at how the movie came together. I really enjoyed seeing how the different creatures and plants were created and the work that was involved in creating an entire planet. The interviews on this feature consist of cast members as well as the technical crew who explain the work they did behind-the-scenes. This is an interesting feature that I recommend you check out after the break.
This article is satire, do not quote this as real.
According to insider sources, Sony’s upcoming Spider-Man trilogy will be taking the franchise back to primary school. Casting is underway for Peter Parker and Principal J. Jonah Jameson, but the rumor mill is churning with big Hollywood names. Asked about why the changes were necessary, director Marc Webb told reporters, “We want to keep the literary integrity of the story as strong as possible while shooting ourselves in the foot by running a franchise into the ground in a way only Hollywood can.”
People who practice cosplay, or dressing up in costumes for conventions and events, typically go all out for their outfits. Most commonly seen cosplay outfits usually revolve around Star Wars and various anime characters, but one Colorado man created an epically awesome War Machine suit based on the character from Iron Man 2. The suit looks like a hybrid between the footage we have seen in the trailer and basic designs from the comics. The level of design is stunning, and any fan of Iron Man will enjoy the effort put into creating the suit. Below are a few of the best pictures highlighting the outfit, but click here to see the forum where all of the pictures have been placed.
Empire Magazine has a great photo of Iron Man in the upcoming sequel which hits theater May 2010. Empire usually has great covers for their issues and this is not an exception. Iron Man 2 drops on May 7, 2010. Check out the full cover after the jump.
What would happen if the Ninja Turtles and Reservoir Dogs were put together to form one violent, weird movie. The answer is Reservoir Turtles which is the result of footage from the Ninja Turtles movie and the voice over from the Reservoir Dogs movie trailer. The mash up is pretty funny, and surprisingly fits perfectly with the characters on screen. Check out this clever video after the break.
Here’s a funny website popped up a few months back called CarlWeathersforMayor.com. The site is a fake campaign link for Carl Weathers running for mayor of New Orleans. Back in 2003 he did a skit for SNL where he mentioned the fact that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jessie Ventura both were elected as Governors of their state. He references the fact that they both were in the film Predator, and he was as well (”I was the black guy”). Someone took it upon themselves to make a site petitioning the citizens of his native New Orleans to elect him as mayor. He has denied running but finds the attention amusing. Check out the skit from SNL below.

Earlier this month we showed you a first look at The A-Team movie directed by Joe Carnahan. Today we have a first look at the cast which includes Sharlto Copley as Capt. “Howling Mad” Murdock, Bradley Cooper as Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck, Liam Neeson as Col. John “Hannibal” Smith, and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as Sgt. Bosco “B.A.” Baracus. The A-Team will be a big screen adaptation of the popular 1980’s television show by the same name. Director Joe Carnahan (Smokin’ Aces) will bring his A-Team to theaters next summer for a June 2010 release. The A-Team is about a group of Iraq War veterans looks to clear their name with the U.S. military, who suspect the four men of committing a crime for which they were framed. This sounds like a fun summe popcorn movie and the photo above is pretty badass. Look for more A-Team coverage in the near future!
What do you get when you cross gymnastics and karate? Apparently, you get the ultimate human weapon. In 1985, a movie called Gymkata floor-routine danced its way into movie history as one of the worst films of all time. Starring…you know what, I’m not going to list any of the actors, they’ve done nothing. But, if you’re looking for some rediculous action, check out the clip below.
James Cameron’s Avatar will arrive in theaters December 18th in regular formats, digital 3D, and IMAX 3D. Today we have some great looking high resolution images for you to check out. The images consist of the Na’vi which are the creatures featured in the photo above. If you haven’t checked out the first trailer for the movie click here. I will admit this film looks beautiful, however I hope it can live up to all the hype. Check out the photos after the jump. Read the rest of this entry »
The news that Disney had bought Marvel for $4 billion dollars has sent many comic book fans into a state of shock. This is the cover for the latest issue of Wizard Magazine. It embodies what many people believe to be the fate of the comic book power house. Really, I just think that is a funny cover. Check it out after the jump
Thanks to Ebaumsworld, the funniest website on the internet, a gallery of photoshopped posters show how movies would be marketed if they actually told the truth. Pretty some of them are good so we put the best ones below. Check out the entire gallery here.
Does this picture anger you? Looking for a way to vent your rage? Created by Flameknight7, a modification (or mod) to the hit zombie shooter Left 4 Dead allows players to put a skin over some of the zombies. Now, when certain zombies come out to attack, they’ll look like the Teletubbies. This presents both a humorous take on the Xbox 360 game, and a terrifying look at what society would become if the Teletubbies ever turn on us. Check out the awesome video below.
That dream can become a reality if you are willing to cough up the cash to make it happen. Ebay will be hosting an auction beginning on September 17th for two tickets to the premiere of Iron Man 2; as well as a meet-and-greet with actress Scarlett Johansson. The blonde beauty is playing the villain Blackwidow in the sequel to Iron Man from 2008. Director Jon Favreu has returned to the director’s chair along with stars Robert Downey Jr, Gwyneth Paltrow, and newcomers Mickey Rourke and Don Cheadle. You can expect this auction to fetch big bucks and all money earned will go to Oxfam America, a charity that finds solutions for hunger and poverty around the world. How much would you pay for this opportunity?

Internet giant YouTube is looking at expanding its operation to include movie rentals. Variety is reporting that the media website could be striking up a deal with the movie studios to offer rentals for new release movies. This is an interesting move which could put in jeopardy the function of video rental stores such as Blockbuster and Hollywood Video. Today Slashfilm has an article about retail chain Blockbuster closing down 20% of their stores in the near future. This is due to companies like Netflix offering movie rentals without having to even leave your living room. YouTube is in talks with Lionsgate, Sony, Warner Brothers, and MGM to bring their movies to the masses via the web.
Ever wonder why some actors choose such lousy films to be in? Have you watched a movie like Ghost Rider or Bangkok Dangerous and asked yourself why Nicolas Cage is still allowed to make movies? College Humor has put together this clever dialogue between Nic Cage and his agent. It may answer those burning questions like what is the deal with Cage’s hair and what his asking price is to do a crappy movie. Check this out after the jump.
Web Crawler is a segment we run where we bring you fun Internet finds that include video clips, websites, and photos. Today we bring you a great picture of how the Twilight movie should have ended. This is the funniest thing you will see all day. Maybe all week. Check it out after the jump.
