We have been eagerly awaiting what Zack Snyder’s Superman: Man of Steel would actually look like and today we have our answer. The first photo of Henry Cavill as Superman has been released which features the actor in costume. Warner Brothers released the first photo which reminds me of the first time we saw Christopher Nolan’s Batman. Nolan is an executive producer on Man of Steel which appears to take The Dark Knight directors’ realistic approach the the comic book movie genre.

Take a close look at the photo below. It is a high-res image so you can get a real crisp look at all the detail. My first reaction was how different this Superman costume is to past visions. Look at the texture of the suit. It reminds me more of the Spider-man costume than anything else. I am curious to see what everyone else thinks of this look.

Another aspect of this photo worth mentioning is the darker, edgier feeling. This is not what we are used to seeing, and I anxiously await more of what director Zack Snyder has in store for fans. What do you think of Superman’s look? Leave your thoughts below.

This past week at Comic-Con Universal presented a panel for their upcoming film (and possible trilogy) Snow White and the Huntsman. The film stars Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron, and Sam Clafin. This is a new take on an old tale and I look forward to seeing an official trailer for the film before we begin passing judgement. The characters have a dark look to them, so this is obviously nothing close to the Snow White we are all used to.

Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in the original Total Recall and now Colin Farrell will attempt to fill his shoes in the classic sci-fi action film about a company that can turn your dreams into actual memories. Farrell plays Doug Quaid who learns he may be a spy but is not sure what side he is fighting for or what is a dream and what is reality.

Today we have a first look photo of Farrell from Entertainment Weekly who featured The Amazing Spider-man photos we ran earlier today. This is not the best quality photo as it is scanned from the magazine, but as soon as we have a higher quality photo we will replace this one. The remake is directed by Len Wiseman (Live Free or Die Hard) from a script by Kurt Wimmer, Mark Bomback, and James Vanderbilt. The cast also includes Bryan Cranston, Bill Nighy, Kate Beckinsale, Jessica Biel, and John Cho.

We have a special love for all things zombies. Every once and a while, something zombie comes along that impresses audiences and has an impact on the zombie culture. One of the most measurable zombie achievements of the last few years has been the comic series The Walking Dead. Wonderfully illustrated, it tells the story of a small group of survivors as they battle zombies and ruthless folk in the wake of the undead Apocalypse. AMC Television gave fans an abbreviated, but none the less intriguing adaptation of the story, leaving audiences wanting more. Slated to begin this October, as last season did, The Walking Dead season 2 promises to go more in-depth into characters and up the zombie body count. Production is underway for the next season, and the first official photos is below. Take a look, and let us know if you’re excited for the sophomore trip through Zombie-infested American South.

Harry Potter is a franchise that is almost everywhere but if still seems to have more respect than KISS. As an April Fools’ joke, IGN came up with a fake TV show based off the franchise. It basically looks like a Law & Order but with magic. Now I don’t particularly like HP but I was informed that the release date is Harry’s birthday. Fun fact? I dunno, you’re the one who likes Harry’s lack of common sense! Either way, this was a pretty funny joke. It was really well done. Check out The Aurors later this year on FX!

TRON: Legacy isn’t even out on Blu-ray and DVD yet but there are rumors and perhaps leaks of certain things to be included on the discs. Is this an announcement for TRON 3? Is this a teaser? What is this exactly? If you have not seen TRON: Legacy, it is really set up for a third installment of the franchise but I’m still iffy on what this all is. It’s not exactly announced by Disney or anything but this is definitely a promotion for something to come. It looks just as cheesy as the movie with bad dialogue and so on. I’m interested in what this is but the movie has put me off on the franchise.

Possible concept art for the show

I grew up loving Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, seriously. If you asked 9-year-old Colin what he wanted to be when he grew up, you can be sure that “a ninja turtle” would have been his answer. Now that you know a little more about me, time to move on to the real story. Those 4 turtles are getting another TV show that looks to be loosely based off the style of the 2007 CGI movie, TMNT. I really liked that movie, it felt just like the show and the comics and had a wonderful animation style. Since the late 80s, the turtles have been in a few movies and have had a couple of TV shows along with a collection of video games. In 2012, we’ll be getting the 3rd animated TV show on Nickelodeon which will probably be titled as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Sure, this isn’t the sequel to TMNT that I’ve been wanting since it came out but this is at least a step in the right direction. All I know is I’m getting myself excited about a new movie! They left it open for a sequel…in fact, almost flat out said there would be one! Anyway, here’s a sneak peek at the new show hosted from IGN.

Here’s the first shot of our cast for X-Men: First Class. The film is being directed by Matthew Vaughn and will be in theaters June 3rd, 2011. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves was nominated for 8 awards and went on to win 3 of those awards including Game of the Year in 2009. This year, we’re going to be getting a trailer for the third installment of the award winning and soon to be a terrible movie franchise. Below you will find a teaser trailer for Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.

“All men dream, but not equally” are the only words you’ll be hearing in this short teaser. Only 35 seconds long but the guys at IGN and Rewind Theater have shown us that there is ALOT of information behind this small trailer. Love the Uncharted series? Check this out! That only makes me think Drake is a modern day Indiana Jones even more. Expect to see the full length trailer tomorrow!

Below is a 2 minute and 29 second trailer for the upcoming Green Lantern movie which is hitting theaters on June 17th, 2011. The trailer looks an quite a bit similar to the fan made trailer that was uploaded to YouTube in 2009. Martin Campbell is the director of Green Lantern and features Ryan Reyonlds as Hal Jordan (Green Lantern, Earth’s Green Lantern) and Mark Strong as Sinestro. Other cast members include Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard, Jay O. Sanders, Temuera Morrison, Taika Waititi, Jon Tenney, Angela Bassett and Tim Robbins.

Excited for the Green Lantern movie but don’t want to wait? In 2009, Warner Premiere and DC Universe Animated Original Movies released an animated Green Lantern movie titled Green Lantern: First Flight. Being the 5th most successful DC animated movie, beating Batman: Under the Red Hood and Superman/Batman: Apocalypse and grossing more than $5 million, must have been enough to put the adventure in theaters. It looks like the Ryan Reynolds’s film is very similar to the animated one, which isn’t bad at all. I suggest you check out the first Green Lantern movie to see if you should get your hopes up for the new one…then again, it might just spoil it for you.
