One of those was going to be an adaptation of Smith’s, would be, screenplay for a Green Hornet movie. All that we know is that it is a spin on the film that Smith would have made had he been kept on the project. To get the fire’s going we have some images of the variant covers for issue #1. Superstar cover artists John Cassaday, J.Scott Campbell, Alex Ross and Stephen Segovia add to the, already, comic celebrity heavy series.

Before it gets pulled by Paramount, check out this 5 minute clip from next summer’s Iron Man 2. The footage is a bootleg but is pretty decent in picture and sound quality. We see footage of Tony Stark and S.H.I.E.L.D agent Nick Fury talking about Iron Man joining Fury’s “boy band ” (referring to The Avengers?), a congressional hearing about Stark’s suit, the villain Whiplash constructing his power suit and using it against Stark at what appears to be a raceway, and at the end we get a look at what appears to be a battle in the sky above Washington D.C. After the title appears, Justin Hammer (who is a bad guy weapon manufacturer) talking with Rhodes about some weapons, then we see what appears to be War Machine with guns blazing. Let us know what you think of our first look at Iron Man 2.

Warner Brothers had set the bar fairly high with its previous panels of Where the Wild Thing Are, The Book of Eli, The Box, Jonah Hex and A Nightmare on Elm Street; all of which had very impressive footage along with great star power. However, as we all knew, Sherlock Holmes was the flagship for the WB panel this Friday morning at Comic-Con.

Comingsoon.net has the exclusive photo of Sir Ben Kingsley in the upcoming Disney adventure Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. Yesterday we showed you the first posters for the flick which stars Jake Gyllenhaal in an adaptation of the popular video game. Kinglsey plays a “villainous nobleman” who is in possession of the Sands of Time which is a gift from the gods that can reverse time. Sounds like a fun concept, but I am still skeptical about this project until I see a trailer. The posters look great, Kingsley looks awesome, but the video game adaptation has me questioning just how good this could really be. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time hits theaters May 28th, 2010. Check out the full photo after the break.

Today, Yahoo! debuted the first trailer for Drew Barrymore’s Whip It. Starring Ellen Page of Juno, Whip It tells the story of an out-of-place girl who aspires to join a roller derby team. The trailer looks like an interesting take on the “small town misfit girl” motif, but this is Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut. Some actors have enjoyed success and praise for the directorial debuts, so I wonder if Drew will be lauded as well. I never really understood the fascination with roller derby, but this story seems like it works well with a girl looking to get out of her small town and be something. Whip It releases October 9th, but check out the trailer below.

It reminded me a lot of my childhood, with the metaphor that the hard times of your pre-adolescent, early adolescent moment, that painful experience is a horror.” This remake is going to be retitled as Let Me In and interestingly enough is considering Colorado as a location to shoot the film.
