Has the announcement that the Spider-Man movie franchise will reboot set in yet? No? Than we have some good news that should make you feel better. Ultimate Spider-Man writer extraordinaire Brian Michael Bendis posted on his Twitter that he “Just spent a very interesting morning at Sony with the entire spidey movie team!! Very very cool stuff!!”. For Spider-Man movie fans that do not read comic books this is very, very good news. Nobody writes Spider-Man like Bendis. He is definitely the guy you want Sony to be speaking to about the Spider-Man reboot.

A friend of mine pointed these images out to me this weekend. Who are the Secret Avengers? This comic book fan wants to know. Marvel Comics released six images that show the silhouette of six “Secret” Avengers with very enticing quotes. I had heard whispers about such a project but figured they were just rumor with the already saturated Avengers market. We have the New Avengers, Mighty Avengers, Young Avengers and the Dark Avengers. That’s a lot of teams to bear such an iconic moniker. Writer supreme Ed Brubaker (Captain America, Daredevil) is set to pen the series while Mike Deodato Jr. (Dark Avengers) will draw. Again, who are these people? Be they friend or foe?

Comic book fans have known for years that Wednesday is a sacred day. The day that our favorite titles break loose from the gates of heaven and rain down upon us. Every week there are ups and downs, highs and lows. It would be nice to get some direction in a sea of series that can easily over take any fan boy. I cannot say that my taste is better than anyone else, but I can tell you what I like. I may even tell you what I don’t like. These are a few suggestions from this past Wednesday.

There’s something about awesome t-shirts about movies that have a unique way of making me laugh. Some of them are shots at movies, and others are simply paying homage so as to attract the attention of movie geeks. A few of the best websites for finding these things are Bustedtees, Snorgtees, 6dollarshirts, and 80stees. Check out some of my favorite designs below.

DC Comics adds to its straight to DVD animated library with Justice League: Crisis On Two Earths. Adapted from an earlier, canceled project JL:COTE was meant to bridge the gap between the Justice League Animated Series and the later named Justice League Unlimited series. The movie takes place on an alternate Earth where a hero by the name of Lex Luthor attempts to recruit the Justice League of America to battle their evil counter parts from his Earth known as the Crime Syndicate.

Big news today for Green Lantern fans. With Blackest Night rolling along epically, we are all aware that we still have Brightest Day to look forward to. Earlier today DC Comics announced that this series will start right after the wrap up of Blackest Night. I was hoping to be able to catch my breath after the major crossover ends in issue #8 due out March, but it seems as if DC has other plans.
