PIRATES: ON STRANGERS TIDES Trailer
Captain Jack Sparrow is back but I can’t be sure when. Is after the original Pirates trilogy or is this a prequel? It looks like the latter to me. Also looks like there’s topless mermaids as well.
On Stranger Tides is loosely based off the Tim Powers novel “On Stranger Tides” but with the lovable Jack Sparrow of course. From what I can gather is this movie is going to be a flash back to a story that happened years ago. It looks like most of the story takes place before he was a captain and he was recently caught retelling his story. I can’t be for sure but I can tell you that it’s going to be in 3D and in theaters May 20th 2011.
What do you think? Do we need another Pirates movie? Did we get enough Jack the last time?

I think it is a sequel, at the end of Pirates 3 Jack Sparrow went off in search of the Fountain of Youth.
I think it'll be great, I'm a little scared about the change in director though.

Well then that raises more questions! Is Barbossa alive again? I'm thinking I'm forgetting what happened at the end of those original movies…
I can't say that I'm personally interested. I need to see alot more than this one trailer to get excited.

Barbosa came back I think at the end of part 2, he stole the Black pearl at the end of 3 along with what he thought was the map to the fountain of youth.
Jack Sparrow took a little fishing boat and it was revealed he cut out the important part of the map and last you see of him he is sailing off.
Yeah, I hope it turns out alright. I'm also pretty disappointed that Jon Favreau won't be directing Iron Man 3. : (
Yea, my friend pointed how he same back at the end of 2 but neither of us could remember what happened to him at the end of 3.
