Teaser Trailer for Del Toro’s DON’T BE AFRAID OF THE DARK

The first teaser trailer for the Guillermo del Toro produced Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark has appeared on the web via Myspace. The teaser is footage that was released at this years San Diego Comic- Con. Troy Nixey takes his place behind the lens in this remake starring Katie Holmes and Guy Pearce about a young girl who is sent to live with her father and her new girlfriend. While living with her dad Sally (Bailee Madison) discovers that there are creatures that live in the house that wish to claim her for their own. The trailer is the definition of a teaser clip. It shows us just enough to make us interested with giving too much away. I am curious about the picture because Nixey is a relatively new director in the game. I wonder how much influence we will see from del Toro’s part and if this film will truly be scary. I know people who have seen the original and claim that it is great.
