Web Crawler: INCEPTION and Pixar’s UP Mash-up

Inception is taking Hollywood by storm right now. Everyone’s talking about it; theories, interpretations, existential discussions. My friend and his girlfriend watched it last night, and it dawned on me how much I love talking about the film to people who just walked out of it, seeing what they thought about the story and the ending. On Fanboyz, we’ve covered everything from the review, the time line of events, and the message of the film. Now, there’s an awesome video mash-up of Inception and Pixar’s Up (via Gizmodo). It was created by YouTube user iwantmyTVNOW, and you can follow that link to other videos he’s made from famous movies. Check out the collision of Christopher Nolan and Disney below.

I’m not sure what it is about mash-up videos, but for some reason I love them. Maybe it’s because it makes me look at the films in a different light. I loved the psychological treatment Inception presents, without becoming overtly intellectual or unreachable for mainstream audiences. Pixar’s Up, on the other hand, was a fantastic family film that held a special place for adults, those who know what it’s like to have loved and lost. The editing and scene choice in the video is great, and entertaining to anyone who likes both movies.
