Wesley Snipes Talks about more ‘Blade’ Movies

Did anyone else think that the Blade franchise ended a little weak? Me too. Blade was such a great character on screen and to leave on such a low note was a bit sad. There has always been the feeling that a new film should be done and that it could place a better book end on the series. Rumors circulate from time to time on the web about a new project and it seems that Wesley Snipes may have left the franchise wanting. Snipes sat down with MTV and they briefly discussed the possibility of more Blade films.

I still remember the feeling I got when I saw Blade for the first time. The techno music playing and strobe light flickering. The vampires have stopped their frenzy. They looked shocked at what they are seeing. The images slow down to reveal the “Day Walker”. It was an amazing moment for fan boys and if you think about it Blade was the start of the modern comic book movie genre. It would be a shame for film makers to not want to succeed in a fourth installment of a franchise that skyrocketed such a huge piece of pop culture.
