Dark Knight Writer to Script Superman Reboot?

Source: Latino Review

Citing one of their most trusted industry sources known only as Pinche Taco, Latino Review is reporting that Batman Begins and Dark Knight writer David S. Goyer is going to write the upcoming Superman movie. Goyer recently was working as a writer and producer on the show Flashforward, but recently announced he was leaving the show for another project. Many speculated that it was going to be the third Batman movie with director Christopher Nolan. I can’t imagine Goyer would leave Dark Knight follow-up for another franchise, so we will have to wait for word from him on whether he will juggle both Superman and Batman. More details on the upcoming Superman project are below.

Some supplementary information on the upcoming Superman movie include a title, villain information, casting, and how it fits in with the franchise. First, they are reporting it will be called The Man of Steel, and borrow heavily on the work of John Byrne who revamped the Kryptonian hero in the comics. Second, Brainiac and Luthor will square off against Clark Kent. Pinche Taco also dropped that Brandon Routh will not reprise his role after playing the title character in the last installment in the franchise. Last, he also stated it won’t be an origin film, and will assume we know the main characters. Sounds promising, but I think I will wait to get word from Goyer himself before I put too much weight on the rumors.
