New Poster and Pictures from A Nightmare on Elm Street

One of the movies I am most excited for this spring is the A Nightmare on Elm Street reboot. Much like the Friday the 13th reboot, this movie looks like it’s going to take the parts from the franchise that work well nowadays but give it a visceral and darker tone. Anyone who has seen the original Nightmare will recall that although Freddy was meant to be a scary and disturbing villain, he also came across as campy and a bit too humorous. From the looks of the trailer and the discussion at the Comic Con panel, they are going to give us a monster we will be having nightmares after watching it when it premieres April 30, 2010.
