Cover Of The Week: Azrael #4

This is one of the best covers I have seen in years. Francesco Mattina is my hero. He made this “new” Azrael look stunning and threw in a little Batman to make it legit. If they made this a poster I would buy it. If you start looking at this cover from the bottom and slowly go up we see this beautiful image of two protectors of justice bathed in white light. But, as you get to the top you realize that they are in the dirty streets of Gotham. Well done Mattina. Well done.

This cover is bad ass, the artwork is beautiful and very eye-catching. I don’t know who azrael is but he definitely looks very cool. Is he a Templar or something?
Kind-of reminds me of a cross between the villain Jack of blades in the game fable, and the Templars from assassins creed.
