Super Bowl XLIV to Feature TV Spots for Iron Man 2, Shutter Island, and The Last Airbender
On February 7th 2010 Super Bowl XLIV will feature TV spots for several new high profile films set to be released in the coming year. Advertising Age has a list of all the advertisements that are being purhased for the Super Bowl and who they are being purchased by. This year Paramount has purchased spots for Iron Man 2, Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island, and M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender. These ads are set to air during the first and second quarters of the game so be sure to pay close attention so you don’t miss anything.
It is also being reported that Universal Pictures is also buying a spot but they have not confirmed exactly what will air. Prices for a 30 second advertisement are in the range of $3 million for a 30 second spot. Not much time, but definitely an effective method to advertise your film, as the Super Bowl is one of the most watched programs of the year.
