Actress Brittany Murphy Dies at 32
TMZ is reporting that actress Brittany Murphy has died at the age of 32 after suffering cardiac arrest. The actress who starred in movies like Clueless, Just Married, Don’t Say a Word, and 8 Mile was rushed to Cedars-Sinais hospital in Los Angeles Sunday morning after her mother discovered her unconscious body. TMZ reports:
A 911 call was made at 8:00 AM from a home in Los Angeles that is listed as belonging to her husband, Simon Monjack, the Los Angeles City Fire Department tells TMZ.
We’re told Murphy was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Her time of death was listed as 10:04 AM.
TMZ has continued to update the news on this shocking death.
It is reported that she was pronounced dead when she arrived at the hospital. The LAPD has now launched a death investigation.
A rep for Murphy tells TMZ, “In this time of sadness, the family thanks you for your love and support. It is their wish that you respect their privacy.”
Brittany Murphy broke out with her role in director Amy Heckerling’s coming of age comedy Clueless. Her filmography included movies such as Uptown Girls, Just Married, Little Black Book, as well as voice work for King of the Hill.
