HBO’s Entourage Headed to the Big Screen?
As a huge fan of HBO’s Entourage I am excited to report there is talk about the boys from Queens taking their show to the big screen. Vinnie Chase and company recently completed the sixth season of the show, and according to producer Mark Wahlberg a movie may be a possibility. THR is reporting that Wahlberg believes the show has a good two seasons left in it and then maybe a movie to follow. Entourage chronicles the life of movie star Vincent Chase who along with his brother and two friends navigates the turbulent lifestyle of Hollywood. An HBO spokesperson said that an Entourage movie is not out of the realm of possibility, however the crew is focusing on the upcoming season at this point in time.
How do you think an Entourage movie would play out? The appeal of the television show is that in 30 minutes we get a dose of humor and the Hollywood lifestyle from the perspective of a group of male friends. I am curious to see how they could make a feature film as fast paced and lively as the television show. I do think they should give it a shot, because as an Entourage fan myself, I believe the more Entourage, the better!
Entourage premiered in 2004. The show stars Kevin Connolly, Adrian Grenier, Kevin Dillon, Jerry Ferrara, and Jeremy Piven.
