TV News: Fox Drops Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse
Another fan favorite from writer/director Joss Whedon has bit the dust. The television show Dollhouse starring Eliza Dushku was cut from the Fox lineup yesterday after poor ratings. It was not a surprise to many who could tell the show was struggling to survive in the ratings. Fox recently pulled the drama for November sweeps and then ultimately made the decision not to renew the show. On a positive note, fans will receive some closure as Fox plans to air the remaining episodes in December. The show is currently in production on its 11th episode and the network has planned to air all 13 ordered episodes. The show is expected to return to the air on December 4th and will wrap up with the 13th episode being the series finale.
This past July we had the opportunity to attend a panel featuring Joss Wheedon who was promoting Dollhouse at the time. Whedon spoke about the upcoming season and showed fans a new episode which had not been seen yet at that time. Whedon has had several hits with television shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. Whedon is an incredible writer who has penned scripts for films like Alien: Resurrection, Titan A.E, and even the first Toy Story.
Dollhouse will more than likely hit DVD shelves soon after it ends so for those of you who are fans you can at least have the collection on DVD.

This makes me sad. I’m sick of networks dropping every cool show and replacing it with some reality, dancing, hospital, or cop bullshit.
