Carl Weathers: Black Guy in Predator, New Orleans Mayor?

Here’s a funny website popped up a few months back called CarlWeathersforMayor.com. The site is a fake campaign link for Carl Weathers running for mayor of New Orleans. Back in 2003 he did a skit for SNL where he mentioned the fact that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jessie Ventura both were elected as Governors of their state. He references the fact that they both were in the film Predator, and he was as well (“I was the black guy”). Someone took it upon themselves to make a site petitioning the citizens of his native New Orleans to elect him as mayor. He has denied running but finds the attention amusing. My favorite part is where he talks about how Danny Glover was a black guy too, but it was Predator 2, so it does not count. Carl Weathers was one of my favorite reoccurring characters on Arrested Development, and who knows, maybe he’ll make a push for public service.
