Some of you posted comments and shed some light on the villains you thought deserved to be on that list and also added a few that you would have liked to have seen. Today, we bring you the other side of the coin and show you our choices for the Six Best Comic Book Movie Villains. Some you may agree with and others may need an explanation. How ever you feel check out or list and let us know.

HeathJoker

Joker- Dark Knight

Why?

Batman’s greatest enemy sets out to prove that anybody can be capable of great evil if put in the right circumstances. In doing so, he creates another villain in the process and kills the love of Bruce Wayne’s life: Rachel Dawes. He also has very little rhyme or reason on the surface, which makes Batman’s job considerably more difficult.

Badass Villain Moment:

Batman beats on the Joker, to no avail, to find the whereabouts of Rachel Dawes and Harvey Dent.  When the Joker finally tells Batman where they are he gives the correct addresses, but lies about who is where, making it impossible to save the woman Bruce Wayne loves.

My Take:

Heath Ledger’s portrayal of the Joker may never be surpassed. His ability to take a character rich in back story and some how make it his own was nothing short of spectacular. It’s a shame that we may never see such a great performance of a comic book villain again.

Villain Rating: 10

ElijahWoodKevin

Kevin- Sin City

Why?

Kevin eats people. He knows that he shouldn’t and when he looks to his own faith to gain the strength to stop, a high Cardinal tells him it’s ok as long as the people are “bad” in the Lord’s eyes: namely prostitutes. It’s always scary when a cannibal is involved, but it’s even scarier when he believes that he is doing God’s work.

Badass Villain Moment:

When Kevin is in an all-out bloody fight with our hero, he doesn’t make any noise. It was like a deadly dance that only one person could walk away from. On top of that, when Kevin loses and is being cut to pieces, he doesn’t flinch or make a peep.

My Take:

What can I say? Elijah Wood makes a great creepy cannibal. The blank look on his face through the fight scene was haunting. I hope that we get a Sin City 2 with some Kevin flash backs.

Villain Rating: 9

ColinFarrelBullseye

Bullseye – Daredevil

Why?

He’s a smooth Irish killing machine that never misses. Anything in his hand is a weapon; from a knife to a playing card. It’s almost too easy for him to kill anyone and he laughs at the fact that they were unlucky enough to get into his crosshairs to begin with.

Badass Villain Moment:

Bullseye kills Daredevil’s love interest by slitting her throat with a playing card and stabbing her with her own sai. Plus, he kills an old woman sitting next him on a plane with a peanut.

My Take:

Here’s one that maybe needs a defense. Say what you want about the Daredevil movie, but Colin Farrell may have done the best comic book villain in a film before Heath Ledger’s Joker. I would love to see a sequel to Daredevil just for another chance to see Bullseye in action.

Villain Rating: 9

LiamASRas

Ra’s al Ghul – Batman Begins

Why?

Ra’s commands legions of followers in the film known as the League of Shadows. They are a band of martial artists who believe in raw justice, an eye for an eye. Their ultimate goal is to maintain balance in the world. When a civilization gets too big or powerful, they restore balance and claim to have been major players in the fall of the Roman Empire and Constantinople. Any man who commands that kind of power should be feared.

Badass Villain Moment:

Ra’s al Ghul apparently dies in an explosion caused by Bruce Wayne at one of their training areas. Wayne saves the life of the man that had been training him, Ducard, from the explosion. Later, when Batman establishes himself and discovers that the League of Shadows is operating in Gotham, it is revealed that Ducard was actually Ra’s and that Batman had saved the life of a mass murderer.

My Take:

Liam Neeson is awesome. He is 57 years old and could still reach through the screen and kick your ass. He brought elegance to the role. When I saw Ducard in the beginning I was upset because I believed that Neeson would have made a much better Ra’s than Ken Watanabe. I just wish that we could have gotten more of him, but then again we didn’t see him die in the film and… “Are his methods supernatural?”.

Villain Rating: 9

DocOck

Doctor Octopus- Spider-Man 2

Why?

A lot of this, for me, was purely visual. You can not go wrong with how cool Doc Ock looks. They nailed the look and movement of this character and really took out the nerdy aspect of his garb. His motives to just further his experiments kind of knock down his villain credentials, though that is very true to the comic.

Badass Villain Moment:

Doc Ock versus Spider-Man on the train is easily one of the best fight scenes in any comic book movie. When they are fighting on the side and the top it is almost a sensory overload. If I didn’t know better, I would have thought that they shot that scene on a real live moving train.

My Take:

He may not have been the most wicked comic book movie villain, but you really had to like him. He does essentially redeem himself in the end, which takes his villain status down a bit and I don’t think that there was a better way to handle the character. Alfred Molina made a geeky Doc Ock cool, which is weird because he looks a lot like the character.

Villain Rating: 8

magneto-picture

Magneto- X2

Why?

You want to like Magneto. He is a holocaust survivor witnessing a minority he is a part of being persecuted again, but this time he has the power to help stop it. He is almost the definition of good intentions leading to hell. He is well-educated, powerful and has the conviction to do the things that he feels need to be done.

Badass Villain Moment:

Magneto had been captured by the end of the first movie and is in a special prison. Here, he is being abused by William Stryker and a guard assigned to him. When Magneto’s accomplice, Mystique, seduces the guard and boosts the level of iron in his blood, Magneto rips it from the guard’s body, killing him, and uses the metal as a weapon to break out of his plastic prison.

My Take:

In all of the X-Men films this was the one that Magneto really shined in.  He is the villain in the franchise, but is the key to saving the mutant race in this movie. Ian McKellen’s Magneto sort of becomes bland by the end of the franchise; however, his performance in this film should put him on any favorite villains list.

Villain Rating: 8

So what do you think? Again, we are not streching back to the 80′s or 90′s in our list, but always feel free to let us know who you believe should be here. There were a few people that could have made honorable mention, but thats another article. These are just some of my favorite, let us know yours below.
