Cover Of The Week: Superman Batman #65

We have a, somewhat, morbid cover this week in the COW column. Though, I believe that it’s fitting for the Halloween season.  The only thing that would fit better for this month would be if it were a zombie cover, but the month is still young.

I do love a simple cover, and there are not many covers more simple than this. The way the dark, pastel like colors, are accented by the blood dripping from the Superman Batman logo is amazing. I know that it could be hard to focus toward the bottom of the tombstone, but you can see dead flowers there too.  Cover artist Dustin Nguyen does an amazing job of making it simple and great. This series has not been that well done for quite some time now, but it’s nice to see that some of the more recent covers have been in our column.
