New Trailer for The Book of Eli
Yahoo Movies has released this new trailer for The Book of Eli starring Denzel Washington and Gary Oldman. In July at Comic-Con we attended a panel featuring the actors as well as the Hughes brothers who directed the film. We saw exclusive footage and a trailer for the action packed movie. Today we have another new trailer for the film which arrives in theaters next January. Check out the trailer and tell us what you think.
The Book of Eli revolves around a lone warrior (Washington) who must fight to bring society the knowledge that could be the key to its redemption. Oldman has been set to portray the despot of a small makeshift town who’s determined to take possession of the book Eli’s guarding.

Well, the Book of Eli just looks fantastic. Very Cross Genre, meaning it's like a western in a different setting. I predicted last year that we were probably primed for the return of the post apocalyptic movie. Red Dawn and Book of Eli might be two new entries into the genre. Look for more. This one looks great!
totally agree joel. the trailer and impression we got from the comic-con panel really showed it's not just a cookie-cutter film, but telling a much bigger story blending the post apocalyptic backdrop with the "lone warrior" feel of a western
plus, oldman always makes for a good villain (the professional comes to mind)
