Inglourious Basterds Jew Hunter to Play Villain in The Green Hornet

He has arguably played one of the most fascinating villains on screen in recent years and he will once again take on another role as a villain. Actor Christoph Waltz, who has received critical praise for his role as Col Hans Landa in Inglourious Basterds, will return to the big screen as the villain in The Green Hornet. Due in theaters next year, The Green Hornet stars Seth Rogen and Cameron Diaz and is being directed by Michael Gondry. Waltz will be playing the villain Chudnofsky in the big screen adaptation of the comic book which is due in theaters December 17, 2010.

This news comes from Deadline Hollywood who confirms that Waltz has been cast in the role which originally was rumored to be played by actor Nicolas Cage. With Cage departing the project just last week the spot was open and a wise choice was Waltz who created a fascinating villain in Tarantino’s Basterds. The actor conveys such control with his performance that it is difficult not to be frightened by his performance.
