Trailer for Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day Shoots Its Way Online

I remember watching The Boondock Saints my senior year in high school, and thought the original storyline, awesome shootout scenes, and funny banter made it one of my favorite action movies. Now, 4 years later, fans of the cult smash are getting the much discussed sequel from writer/director Troy Duffy. Excluding Willem Dafoe, all the original cast has returned, including the brothers’ murdered friend Rocco portrayed by David Della Rocco. Check out the first look at the movie after the jump.

How does this look to fans/newcomers to the franchise? I say, there’s no way of screwing up the first film (for me at least) so why not make a sequel? The end of the trailer says “In Theaters October 30″ but there has been a lot of discussion about whether it was going direct to DVD like the original.
