Fanboyz Podcast: The Z Cast- Episode 1: The Inglourious Podcast
The inaugural episode of the Fanboyz.net podcast has arrived. Titled The Z Cast, Jeff, Roman, and Jordan will be recording weekly about the latest movie news, exciting trailers, and the newest film reviews. Similar to the movie blog world, the world of Internet radio is just as crowded; but we feel now is the right time to bring our original, fresh, and humorous blend of knowledge and passion into the voice of a podcast. We are working out all of our kinks so as we learn, grow, and realize that we have no idea what we are doing, changes will be coming! So without further ado, we are proud to present the official podcast of Fanboyz.net: The Z Cast. Enjoy!
In this weeks episode The Z Cast covers the following topics:
The surprising move of Shutter Island from an October release to February of 2010. We give our opinions on why this move may have occurred as well as what this means for the upcoming Oscar race.
The two big movie trailers of last week were for James Cameron’s Avatar and Benicio Del Toro’s The Wolfman. We discuss our initial feelings toward Avatar, the response to Avatar Day, and the inevitable backlash which has occurred from Avatar overexposure.
The Wolfman stirs a conversation about yet another film which appears to have problems finding a release date.
We close the show with a review of Quentin Tarantion’s Inglourious Basterds.
Without a doubt this inaugural episode is a learning experience for us all. We could develop a drinking game with the number of times we use the words awesome, fantastic, and shocking in a 28 minute show. You can’t honestly have any fun if your not able to poke fun at yourself. If you have any suggestions, guidance, or opinions on what you would like to see in The Z Cast please feel free to share with us. We appreciate your feedback and we look forward to becoming a member of the world of podcasting.
Check out our show next week as we recap the best and worst of summer 2009. Don’t miss it!
