Comic-Con: Joss Whedon Quick Hits
Comic-Con has been super hectic this year. Thankfully, Jeff and Jordan have been all over the place covering panels for our readers. I was at the Joss Whedon Dollhouse panel and Q & A yesterday and I wanted to give you a few tidbits of info. He lightly touched on a few topics for all fans, but nothing super in depth. Read more after the jump.
First off, for those who have not seen or heard Whedon in an interview the man is a great speaker. He is very light and super funny. All of his answers were natural and felt very genuine. We were fortunate enough to watch a never before seen episode of Dollhouse in its entirety. It was a post apocalytic story based 10 years in the future in which we see what happens when to many people have been imprinted and basically become very “zombie like”. The story also follows new characters living in this world who discover and abandoned dollhouse. They learn many secrets as to how the imprinting “outbreak” started. It didn’t make the cut at the end of the season, but Whedon said that he would retouch on these characters later. He also stated that this episode may be added to the DVD of season 1. On top of that Whedon mentioned that fan favorite actors Alexis Denisof and Summer Glau may be making appearances in future episodes.
As far as other projects he is working on Whedon spoke briefly about the Shepherd Book comic books series is in the works for all us Firefly fans. He was very mum on anything referring to his next film Cabin in the Woods and just stated that he would not speak about it, but that Dark Horse Comics would be releasing a prequel comic book for the film.
