Comic-Con: Gary Oldman Hints that Batman 3 to Film Next Year; Possible 2011 Release?

Yesterday during the Warner Brothers panel in Hall H, the cast of The Book of Eli spoke about the film as well as upcoming projects. Gary Oldman, who played Commissioner Gordon Batman Begins as well as The Dark Knight told the audience of over 6000 excited fans that Batman 3 would be filming sometime next year for a release date the following year. That would mean we could potentially see the third Batman film sometime in 2011!? Jokingly Oldman then stated, “you didn’t hear that from me.” However we did hear it from him. There are no confirmed reports as to the validity of this statement. Oldman could possibly be blowing smoke but for the sake of every Batman fanboy out there we are going to assume the news may be true. And by assuming there is some truth to it – How awesome would a third Batman be in two years from now? We will have more on this story when it breaks. Stay tuned.
