Superman/ Batman Public Enemies
Superman and Batman return to the animated world in Superman/ Batman: Public Enemies. Based on the wildly popular story arc of the same name from writer Jeph Loeb this animated adventure should be amazing. Learn more after the jump.

This story was easily the best story arc from the Superman/ Batman comic book series. It catapulted the series and spawned numerous action figures. In many accounts it has sculpted some the modern DC universe. In the story the US government has detected a large meteorite on a collision course with Earth. The meteor happens to made of Kryptonite and President Lex Luthor uses this as a way to frame Superman. He tells the world that Kryptonite is drawn to Earth because Superman lives here. He puts a 1 billion dollar bounty on his head which kicks off an amazing and action packed storyline.

Inspired by the art of Ed McGuinness Superman/ Batman: Public Enemies will also reunite voice actors Tim Daly (Superman: The Animated Series) and Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series). It’s nice to see Daly back as Superman and all but, I love Kevin Conroy as Batman. He does the best Batman voice ever and it is always a treat when he comes back to play him. He was the sole reason I bought Batman: Gotham Knight DVD.
I have been so thrilled that DC Comics and Warner Bros. have been doing more animated films. Superman/ Batman: Public Enemies due out August 25, 2009. Also, be on the look out for Green Lantern: First Flight due out this month
