Robert Rodriguez Announces Nimrod Antal Will Direct Predators Movie
There has been much speculation as to who will direct the upcoming reboot of Predator. Originally Robert Rodriguez was rumored to be directing the project, but now we know he will only serve as a producer for the film. Today we find out via Aint It Cool News that Nimrod Antal will be helming the project for 20th Century Fox. Antal has previously directed the thriller Vacancy and the upcoming heist thriller Armored is also his project. Rodriguez stated that the film involves “a very intense group of people stranded on a Predator planet discovering unspeakable horrors – that are not always from outside their group. So like the original movie, the title does have a double meaning. ‘Aliens’ was a different take on the Alien idea, and an original movie in it’s own right, and that’s what we want to do with this.” Predators should be hitting theaters in 2010!
