Everyone should know about the story of pilot Amelia Earhart, the first pilot to ever cross the Atlantic Ocean in an airplane. What makes the Amelia Earhart story so fascinating is the mystery surrounding it. Earhart was set to fly solo around the world, but during her travel her plane disappeared and still to this day we have never known what happened to Amelia Earhart. Her story ended in 1937 when she disappeared during her trip circumnavigating the globe. Now her story is being told in a new movie with Hilary Swank as the famous female pilot.
