Mission: Impossible 4 Shooting for 2011 Release

The Mission: Impossible franchise is set to return in 2011 reports Variety. Tom Cruise will be returning as super spy Ethan Hunt in a fourth film based on the popular television series. Paramount is pushing for a 2011 release date which will fit nicely in their year of high profile sequels which will include Star Trek 2 and Transformers 3. The third Mission: Impossible was directed by Star Trek director J.J Abrams, but there is no word as to his return for a fourth film. He will return as producer, but Paramount has yet to announce a director. I am all for a fourth Mission: Impossible movie. I thought the third film was very well done, and a giant improvement on the second movie, which was the weakest in the trilogy. Stay tuned for more news as this story develops.
