Cover Of The Week: Flash Rebirth #3 and Deadpool #11
Cover of the Week is one of my favorite things to write. It allows me to show the readers, all seven of you, some great art going on in the world of comics. Sometimes I may seem bias toward the big publishers, but they have the money for the talent. This weeks COW’s are great. One cover calls to many generations, while the other is laughable in a grotesque way. See this weeks COW’s after the jump

Deadpool is almost always a good read. I love it when the cover art shows you exactly what you’re in for. For those that don’t know Deadpool has an awesome healing factor, so he will be okay after this. Artist Jason Pearson shows us who Deadpool is in this image. He takes a bunch of arrows in the body, but points out that someone missed the apple. He almost looks more irritated that the person didn’t hit their target rather than being hit himself. Classic.

One of the most common asked questions by children and men alike in the world of comics. “Who is faster? Superman or the Flash?” They have raced for charity and pride in the past, and I think that the Flash is on top when it comes to victories. In Flash Rebirth #3 Ethan Van Sciver lets you know who is fastest on the cover by giving Flash the lead. Van Sciver has great detail in his people when he draws, but can go over board with the lightning. I think this is one of those instances when he has just the right amount. I like that it looks like the Flash is pulling out all of the stops so to speak.
