This weeks COW options are from two of my favorite artists. One is of the Dark Knight in a pose that has become somewhat classic for him and the other is a lovers embrace. Two different covers from the two leading publishers. See this weeks COW’s after the jump.

Jim Lee is my all time favorite comic book artist. Everything he does is amazing. For me he became THE Batman man artist of our time after his work on Batman: Hush. The cover for Batman In Barcelona: Dragon’s Knight is a classic pose for Batman. Lee puts him on a gargoyle of some kind with a lot of cape blowing in the wind. This is not Lee’s best Batman work, but it is awesome.

Lee Bermejo has been doing some great covers for X-Men Legacy. Every time I do a COW column his work is always on my mind. For X-Men Legacy #224 his tight embrace of Gambit and Rouge brings me back to the 90′s version of these two characters and there constant flirting with one another. The shading on this piece is great too. It looks so dynamic. Also, I like that you don’t know whats going to happen by looking at this cover. Is Gambit going to hurt Rouge or is he just showing off? You will have to read it to find out.
