Is Tarantino Editing Inglourious Basterds Further?

Quentin Tarantino’s newest film, Inglourious Basterds, premiered last week at the Cannes Film Festival. The film was met with mixed reviews, but the interesting story that is coming this way from France, is that Tarantino is supposedly going back to cut the film even further. Variety is reporting that the director will be going back to the editing room to cut some of the film and apparently add a new scene as well. It has not been reported why Tarantino intends on changing the movie or if his changes are in response to any criticism. The film currently stands at two hours and twenty-seven minutes and it is unclear if running time is a reason for the return to the editing room. The Brad Pitt led film hits theaters August 21st.
