Cover of the Week: Superman/Batman #60
A beautiful rendition of the World’s Finest is in the this weeks COW column. The comic book has not been very good lately, but I can not bring myself to drop the title. Superman and Batman are such a staple in the realm of comic books that it would seem disrespectful to quit buying any book that they are in. I know, it sounds a little messed up. However, I am a sucker for good art work and I will keep getting the series if covers like this keep coming out. See this weeks COW after the jump.

This is my first exposure to artist Francis Manapul that I can remember. Every month Superman/Batman is in my hold file at my local comic book store, Heroes and Dragons, and every month I take a peek at it and set it down. As I was going through this weeks bundle of books I was taken back by this stunning piece of art work. The correlation between these two iconic characters is shown brilliantly. Superman is kind of looking up in the sky and I feel a sense of hope. While Batman looks down at a city full of crime that he knows he must stop. I am no artist or art teacher, but I know what I like and the symbolism that I see here is great.
What do you think of this weeks COW selections? Any suggestions? Let us know.
