Chris Hemsworth Cast As Thor

According to Deadline Hollywood there is some news on Marvel Studio’s Thor movie. It appears that actor Chris Hemsworth will play the Norse God of Thunder in the film. Who the hell is Chris Hemsworth? Most of us will know him as George Kirk in the new Star Trek movie. He plays James T. Kirk’s father in the film. A relative unknown in the movie world, this seems to be a bold choice. I trust Marvel Studios right now and I think that its good to go with someone that we aren’t familiar with. Thor is the God of Thunder in Norse Mythology. Marvel Comics depicts Thor as a modern day champion as well, and was a founding member of the Avengers in comics. Armed with his enchanted hammer, Mjolnir, Thor protects this world from evil.
