First Look At Earth 2 Superman From Blackest Night

With the success of DC’s hit The Sinestro Corps War the publisher will be doing the Green Lantern summer event known as Blackest Night. For those of you that may only be familiar with the name Green Lantern they are an intergalactic police force who wield rings that channels the users “will power” into a weapon. Check out this horrifying image of a comic book icon turned into something evil. This is the cover to Blackest Night: Superman #1.

The Superman from the parallel Earth known as Earth 2 was killed trying to save “our” world in DC Comics 2006 main event Infinite Crisis. This is not “our” Superman, but he was a man cut from the same cloth. Now it would seem that he has been resurrected by the emotionless Black Lanterns as a slave to their undead corps. We will be posting bios in the coming weeks to help make you familiar with the other colors of the emotional spectrum along with other mini series tie ins.
