New Trailer for G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra
Summer movies are three months which feature some of the most exciting, entertaining, and highly anticipated films. From this weekend’s Wolverine, to Transformers 2, and Harry Potter 6, summer is full of great looking fare. I enjoy a big budget action movie, but sometimes a summer movie just ignores the formula of what makes a film good and when this happens we have a trailer like today’s arrival of G.I Joe: The Rise of Cobra. Even if you like dumb, mindless action, you will probably be annoyed by this preview. I don’t understand how a studio, a director, and a talented cast could mess up this project. But it looks like they did. Check it out for yourself.
I like to give a movie the benefit of the doubt, and try not to judge the film from it’s trailer. But this movie looks like a total mess. I am not surprised with how over the top the action is since the director is Stephen Sommers who brought us the Mummy movies. What did you think of the weird green acid that brought down the Eiffel Tower? Do you think this could be a fun action flick – or just another dumb summer movie? I am not impressed at all. If you care to know the movie stars Dennis Quaid, Channing Tatum, Marlon Wayans, and Sienna Miller. It hits theaters August 8th.

i know i'm going to take a beating for this, but i actually want to see this. yes i'm sure it's not going to be the best movie of the summer, or frankly a decent movie at that, but it looks fun and entertaining.

Your allowed to have your opinion, even as wrong as it may be. I am all about movies being fun and entertaining. However, I don't enjoy seeing my beloved G.I Joe, who I grew up with, brought to the screen in such a mediocre manner. I will watch this because I want to see how good it can be – not how bad it could be. I want to give it the chance it deserves, but when you give an audience a trailer like this, your just asking for a backlash. A backlash and a beating….
