wolverine_logo2

In the spirit of X-men Origins: Wolverine I wanted to show you guys some of my favorite comic book covers that showcase the living weapon. I have so many favorites, but I chose just a few to share with you all. From wicked action to the slightly absurd these are some of my favorite Wolverine realted comic book covers.

Uncanny X-Men #172

Wolverine loves Asians, and I love Asians. We are one in the same

wol-uncanny195

Uncanny X-Men #195

I have always liked this cover. It cracks me up. I have no idea what’s going on here or why Wolverine is accosting these children, but it is a pretty funny image. The kids are from a group called Power Pack. He is really setting a bad example for those kids by smoking while he is trying to stab them.

wol-uncanny213

Uncanny X-Men#213

This is an awesome cover of Wolverine fighting his nemesis Sabertooth. It’s great how they are so close in this picture. You can tell that this is a brutal fight. And poor Wolverine’s costume is getting messed up.

Uncanny X-Men #251

The colors on this one are crazy. The way the purple and green work so well thogether is amazing. Whom ever crucifies Wolverine on a giant X over a pile of skulls is a badass. Also, they had better watch thier backs when he gets down.

wol-uncanny394

Uncanny X-Men #394

I know that he has had a hard life, but Wolverine needs to get his claws off Cyclops woman. Okay maybe he deserved. I’m not sure if this is an accurate representation of the human muscle structure. Logan seems to have more than his fair share of muscles.

wol-41

Wolverine # 41

With his tough, loner exterior it’s sometimes easy to forget that Wolverine is a true hero. Here we see him take on a large amount of arrows to protect a baby. Classy.

wol-origin21

Origin #2

Probably one of the most simple art concepts ever done. This cover is brilliant in its simplicity.

These were some of my favorite comic book covers with Wolverine. Share your favorites with us and our readers. Post a comment.

My favorite was always from Wolverine 33 with his clawed hand coming out of a graveyard. The reds are striking against the ashen coloring of his hand and the motion of the rubble around it is amazing.

It was also the first Wolverine comic I ever bought. So sue me.
