Wall Street Sequel Confirmed – Michael Douglas to Return Along with Shia LeBeouf

The return of Gordon Gekko has arrived. Oliver Stone is set to direct a sequel to his 1987 film Wall Street about trader Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas.) Variety is reporting that Michael Douglass will reprise his role which one him an Academy Award for Best Actor. Joining Douglas will be Transformers star Shia LeBeouf who will play a young hot shot investment trader. LeBeouf’s character will most likely mimic that of Charlie Sheen’s hot shot playboy character from the original film. The movie is tentatively titled Wall Street 2 and is being penned by 21 writer Allan Loeb. The casting of Shia LeBeouf is yet to be confirmed, however the actor is currently in negotations to join the project.
