I really enjoy watching a new trailer and not having any expectations, and then getting blown away by how great it looks. I think Sam Rockwell is a great actor. If you don’t know much about him check out his work in Matchstick Men and Confessions of a Dangerous Mind. Two really good, underrated films. Rockwell has a new movie coming out by director Duncan Jones, titled Moon. In the movie Rockwell plays astronaut Sam Bell who has a personal encounter toward the end of his three-year stint on the Moon, where he, working alongside his computer, GERTY, sends back to Earth parcels of a resource that has helped diminish our planet’s power problems. Sounds like an odd premise for a movie, but check out the trailer. It looks excellent.

Thanks to IGN for this trailer and AICN for the poster, both of which are very appealing. I always enjoy a unique poster, and this one sure is an eye-catcher. I hope this movie helps to make Sam Rockwell more of a house hold name. If this doesn’t than surely his role in Iron Man 2 will. What are your thoughts on this trailer and poster? Do you think Moon looks like a good sci-fi movie, or is it too “artsy” for general audiences? Comment below.
