Casting News: Two More Actors Added to Jonah Hex

Actors Will Arnett and Michael Shannon are two new additions to the comic book adaptation Jonah Hex. Will Arnett (Monsters Vs. Aliens) is set to play a Union solider who enlists Jonah Hex. This is a departure from Arnett’s usual fare, as this film is not a comedy. Michael Shannon (Oscar nominee for Revolutionary Road) will play Doc Cross Williams, a ringleader for a gladiator circus. These are some unique characters and these actors will hopefully bring even more flavor to this already diverse cast. Jonah Hex stars Josh Brolin as the title character. Hex is a bounty hunter who goes on the hunt for a voodoo practitioner that is attempting to create an army of the undead, in an effort to liberate the south. This plot sounds like a hard sell, but with a cast that includes Brolin, John Malkovich, and Megan Fox, anything is possible. Production for this film begins this month in Louisiana.
