We have sad news to report for Angel fans. Andy Hallett, the actor who played Lorne, passed away this weekend, at the age of 33. According to a press release by his agent, and long time friend Pat Brady, it was due to heart failure.
Hallett was a musician/actor who spent the majority of his career as the lovable character, Lorne, on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer spin off, Angel. Lorne was definitely the heart of the group in this show. Hallett had a great voice that helped personify his character. Lorne was able to read peoples auras or intentions threw songs. Hallett often sang in the show, and when he did, people listened. He spent his post-Angel years working on his music and playing shows around the country. Hallett had been admitted to the hospital three or four times over the last few years for his heart condition.
These are some of my favorite Angel Episodes with Andy Hallett:
Season 4, Episode 3: The House Always Wins
Season 5, Episode 5: Life of the Party
Season 5, Episode 15: A Hole in the World
As a fan of the show I know that he will be missed by many.
