Karate Kid Remake Retitled Kung Fu Kid!?

It was bad when Columbia Pictures announced they would be remaking The Karate Kid. It was terrible when they announced that Will Smith’s son, Jaden, would be playing the title character. It didn’t get any better when Jackie Chan signed on to play the Mr. Miyagi role. Now, I am sorry to report, we have even more disappointing news to report. As if Columbia hadn’t destroyed the sanctity of this 80′s classic movie, they have now decided to rename the film! The Karate Kid will now be titled Kung Fu Kid? Alex at Firstshowing broke this news earlier today and the net has been buzzing with disgust from fans of the original, the only, Karate Kid. So what do you think? Does anyone care about The Karate Kid anymore? Is this a terrible idea? Has Hollywood finally pushed the limit on remakes? Leave your comments on the next page.
