Arrested Development Movie Moving Forward?

In an ironic twist, the film adaptation of Arrested Development might be finally getting ready for production, ending a long period of film “arrested development”. Unnamed inside sources have contacted E!, stating Michael Cera is now on board with the project. Both Ron Howard and Jeffery Tambor have both spoken up about the movie, saying that things were looking to be moving forward, but any new news or specifics have not seen the light of day.
As fans will recall, the short-lived Fox show centered around Jason Bateman’s character Michael Bluth and his dysfunctional family. Executive Produced and narrated by Ron Howard, the show caught a cult following after cancellation, and resurrection on DVD, stirred up interest in a movie. Now that Michael Cera is said to be returning as George Michael, the standoffish son of Bateman’s character in love with his cousin, fans like me will be watching the net closely for news. Stay tuned for more updates.

SHWEET! Arrested Development is one of the funniest TV shows I’ve ever seen, and I’ve been really excited about this movie since i heard the rumors. Hopefully the film will be able to capture what made the tv show so special.
