Here is Judd Apatow’s trailer for his upcoming third film Funny People. Most of us know Apatow’s work from his comedies The 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up. Now comes a comedy with a little more heart.
Funny People is the story of comedian George Simmons ( Adam Sandler), a veteran of the comedic circuit, who finds out that he has a terminal disease and only has so long to live. Ira Wright ( Seth Rogan) is a struggling, up and coming comedian who catches the attention of Simmons at a comedy club. Simmons can see the potential in Wright and hires him as his assistant.
I really enjoy Judd Apatows films. I think that he and Seth Rogan make up one of the best comedic duos of our time. The addition of Adam Sandler is just icing on the cake. This film looks like it will be some what of a feel good comedy. I know that we will get a lot of the usual Apatow/ Rogan dialog along with some real life personal discovery you get when you find out you only have so long to live. What do you do? What can you say? And who do you say these things to when your life is changed? How do you deal with lifes second chance?

Loved the trailer! 40 year old virgin is one of my favorite comedies of all time, and knocked up was also quite good. Funny people looks to be even better, super excited!!!
